The road to greater faith requires patience, persistence and perseverance. Sometimes we are tempted to take the detour on the road of self help but we find that the road is short lived, a dead end. Or else it splinters off towards the roads of fear and doubt. We soon find ourselves traveling in circles jumping from fear and doubt back onto the road of self help. Eventually we realize that the road to faith is the best road but now we must make the treacherous trek back and once we've arrived, we find we must begin the journey of faith yet again.
My Advice? Stay on the road to greater faith because even while there will be tests and obstacles, God will show you how to traverse the terrain. Matthew 7:13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: 14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. |
